I bought this truck in 1997 for a daily driver. It was equipped with a 2.8L engine and 5 speed trans. After a few years of driving it stock I got the urge to do a little wheeling and started with the 3" body lift and some 31 x 10.50 AT's. After spending some time out in the mud, and on the back end of the tow rope (stuck), I needed more. So on came the 36" TSL's and a 5" Trailmaster lift to fit them. Unfortunately the little 2.8L wasn't quite up to the task. Of course you can see where this was going, In came the 305, it was a bit much for S-15 CV axles so later followed the Dana 30. I've managed to do all the work myself, and learned a lot in the process. And after a few years of fine tuning, I can take the old S-15 where ever I want.
